Seeing Lois' obituary in the Hood River News so saddened me. I remember her clearly from the Parkdale community when I was a little kid and then again, after several years, when Lois and I encountered each other again at a Parkdale High School Reunion picnic. Visiting with her was always interesting and enjoyable. We had both lived far away and then returned to the Valley, and we shared the comfort and joy of being back at home with Mt. Hood and our childhood landscape.
