Condolence: So sorry to have just learned of the passing of Lois Sharkey. My mom Molly, was a school teacher in Panama as well.They were great friends. Lois spent many a Christmas day with us. I loved her blue MG, it was pretty cool! A few years back I was able to thank Lois for being so good to me and my sister when we were kids. Her kindness and spirit will never be forgotten. Peace and Love.

Condolence: I have always admired Lois for her spunk, her energy and her compassion for others. Every encounter with her left me smiling. She will always be my heroine and will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Seeing Lois' obituary in the Hood River News so saddened me. I remember her clearly from the Parkdale community when I was a little kid and then again, after several years, when Lois and I encountered each other again at a Parkdale High School Reunion picnic. Visiting with her was always interesting and enjoyable. We had both lived far away and then returned to the Valley, and we shared the comfort and joy of being back at home with Mt. Hood and our childhood landscape. May she rest in peace, and may the Sharkey family appreciate how Lois went about her life, accumulating insights, experiences, and friendships.

Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to learn of Lois' passing. My mom and I made my first big quilt from fabric Lois helped us choose at Country Cloth in the 70's. From there the friendship with Lois grew. I just recently chatted with her at the local guild's quilt show at the Armory. I've admired her positive attitude for many years and her resilience. She will be missed as a fellow quilter and friend. My condolences to her family.
