We were deeply saddened to hear of Gene's passing. For us Gene embodied so very many wonderful things. He and Karen both were so very involved, they drew us into the swim team family and motivated us to do more. The efforts he put forward as a scientist, as an swimming official, as a radio enthusiast, all accounted for so much for the community and for us individually. He was a great example of how to lead a worthwhile life and he will be sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
