Dear Family of Robert W. Thoman, I was very sorry to learn of the passing away of Past International Director Lion Robert W. “Bob” Thoman on March 29, 2010. Lion Thoman served the Association as International Director during the years 1987 to 1989. I am sure he will be greatly missed. Lions Clubs International will be poorer for this loss, though his contributions will be remembered for all time to come. Please accept heartfelt condolences from my colleagues at the South Asian Secretariat, my wife Tina and myself on this great loss. Words are so inadequate at times such as this, but there is comfort in the belief that those who pass this world go on to a better existence. It is the ones left behind who have to bear the cross. We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in your hour of grief. We pray that God will give you the strength to carry on now without him.
