As a horticulturist, I always valued Dave's innovation, hard work and willingness to share good information. I remember a highlight of our most recent contact when we had the Retired County Agent's summer outing in Hood River county. He helped show us the resources of the area and made us feel welcome. He was a personal friend and I was saddened to learn of his passing.
