Condolence: Orv was a lifelong friend. We grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same grade school and hi school, altho he is a couple of years older than me. We were in engineering school at the Univ of Portland in overlapping classes. He encouraged me to apply for a CRT job and, after I was hired, we worked together at Tek both in CRT and Product Safety. Orv was an outstanding figure in CRT from the very early days and was involved in many aspects of the work, both in engineering and manufacturing. He was the storage tube guy for so many years. We both continued in Product Safety consulting after leaving Tek. Ruth & I have been adult family friends with Orv & his wife Carol. I will miss my friend Orv.
