Mike and our son Max were fast friends starting at age 4. They shared many sports, school experiences and summer camps. Maryanne and I would usually would coordinate the delivery and pick up for the summer camps. One year, she confessed "Christie, I've been so busy, I packed Mike's bag and had to throw in a couple packs of new undies, I haven't done laundry forever!" Max and Mike spent a week in eastern Oregon, learning about geology and dinosaurs. Moms always unpack the jumble of grimey T shirts, missing socks, etc. Maryanne and I got together a few days after their return home, and she further confessed "I don't quite know what to think about this, but the packs of undies were unopened! Yikes!"
