As a long-time friend of Anne's daughter Clare, the Anne Cathey I knew was a mother who dearly and proudly loved her kids for all their accomplishments and sometimes misdeeds. When I was a teenager, Anne was awe inspiring as the only working mother I knew (this was the 70's) and I admired for her intelligence, her wit and her decisiveness. She was a role model for me then and continued to be so into my adult years. To Karen, Eileen, Maureen, Clare, John and Jim, I appreciate knowing your mom and know that you will miss her fiercely and deeply. My thoughts are with all of you . Maureen Linehan
