Condolences

Condolence From: Sharon Pantely
Condolence: To Anne's family-I knew Anne through Tai Chi at Mt. Hood Town Hall. She was engaging, intelligent, and we connected thru our mutual profession. She helped us to write grants, which was difficult, but she knew the 'path'. Several times, after she no longer came, I saw her while shopping, always friendly and happy to see me. I offer sincere condolences at the news of her death. She certainly touched many lives!

Condolence: As a long-time friend of Anne's daughter Clare, the Anne Cathey I knew was a mother who dearly and proudly loved her kids for all their accomplishments and sometimes misdeeds. When I was a teenager, Anne was awe inspiring as the only working mother I knew (this was the 70's) and I admired for her intelligence, her wit and her decisiveness. She was a role model for me then and continued to be so into my adult years. To Karen, Eileen, Maureen, Clare, John and Jim, I appreciate knowing your mom and know that you will miss her fiercely and deeply. My thoughts are with all of you . Maureen Linehan

Condolence: I was stunned and so very sad to hear of Anne's death. I worked with Anne very closely at Multnomah County Health Department. Together we struggled and succeeded (because of Anne, not me) in launching the first School Based Health Center to the west of St. Paul, Minnesota at Roosevelt High School in North Portland. This amazing program is now all over Oregon, and much of the credit belongs to Anne.

As we worked together, we grew to know each other personally and became friends. I saw her less when she moved to Hood River, but whenever we did connect it was like we had seen each other yesterday.

I admired and respected Anne so, so much! She was a lovely, gracious lady - always giving of herself. And - she had a lot to give.

To Anne's family - she was so proud of you; I heard a lot about each of you, and I know you meant the world to her.

Oh my, Anne will be missed by so many!
