Classmates

On Sunday June 29th I played golf at Indian a Creek with a fun classmate named Ann Doyle. We both went to Marylhurst with Judy during her two years on the campus. It is ironic, that the day before, in Portland where I now live, I ran into another Marylhurst gal, named a Nancy Lead Olson who told me that she heard that Judy had passed. Neither of us knew where the info had come from except Nancy heard it somewhere. For her children, Nancy and I paused for a moment and reflection certainly entered in as to what a fun friend, a good person, hard working gal Judy was many years ago in college. She couldn't 'stay for the four years, but no one has forgotten her precious personality. I am personally saddened at her passing, as I remember running into her in HR while on my way to the State Dept of Ed ,... i it was such a relief to notice this pretty lady and then my saying to her', " I think I know you and she said after 45+ years! ..she said.., Hi, JeanE ..we had great visit. We missed Judy at our Marylhurst 50th, but she just couldn't 'to come due to health. With all of my classmates, her children need to know how special their mom was to us. There, were trials and anxieties for all of us, yet Judy did so many GOOD things when she was with us and I am sure throughout her busy life. I am saddened by her passing. I will let my classmates of 1962 know that we have lost,a great friend. Each time there has been a gathering, we have all been blessed by our knowing such a fine lady, friend and special goodness. I am, as will my fellow Marion Hall ladies offer our prayers for Judy, and her family. I wished that we had know earlier ....but time makes distance and memories shadowed... Peace to all.
