Obituary for Carl Curtis Wilson

Carl Curtis  Wilson
Carl Curtis Wilson (1934 – 2014) an Oregon native and Navy veteran, died June 5, 2014 at the age of 80, leaving his loving wife of nearly sixty years.

A small private memorial service for immediate family and invited guest is being held Friday at Anderson’s Tribute Center and a public “Celebration of Life” on June 14th at 1:30pm, a service will be held at the same location.

Carl was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Seattle, Washington, to parents of Robert H. and Grace I. Hutchinson.

On Jan. 16th, 1952, he joined the Navy. While serving on the USS-Marshall, DD-676, during the Korean conflict, he was awarded the Defense Service Medal, the China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal.

On Aug. 30, 1954, he married, Sharon K. Hathhorn of Hood River.

“Carl’s generosity and kindness of heart were always an inspiration to his family / friends’ and lived his life with integrity and honor.”

He is survived by his wife Sharon, sons Robert R. and Jeffrey C., daughters Tina K. and Lisa A., their spouses, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be forever remembered!
