Dear Lage Family: I am most sorry to hear about your loss. My buddy and I were planning a trip to Hood River at the end of July. One of our stops was to locate Mr. Lage. Back when we were teenagers-early 1970's-we left Northern California in search of a summer job in Oregon. After many futile attempts and led by the hand of God, we landed at your cold storage facility and Mr. Lage was kind enough to give us a job and even a place to stay. We could not have asked for a better employer. It went so well we came back the next year also. We sincerely appreciated that Mr. Lage took a chance on two unknown young lads.
