Grandpa Helps Out

There are so many memories I have of our amazing grandfather, but here are some of my favorites! Growing up I was at grandmpa and grandpas pretty much every other weekend and many holidays. Most of my favorite memories occurred around the large dining table. Anytime we were at the table eating I would anticipate Grandpa banging his fist down and startling us!! I would glance over and glance over until it happened! Then look straight at Gram who would scold grandpa not to do that. We also didnt have a chance passing his chair without something occurring. No matter how fast we ran by!! I have 2 older sisters who tried and tried to get me to learn how to braid so I could do it to my barbies and babies. . . One day I asked Gram to do a braid in my doll and grandpa couldnt believe I didnt know how. He went out to the shop and tied together 3 strings or bailing twine and had me sit by him at the table and try and try until I got it down. When I was 5 or younger, grandpa and grandma had brought a pink Barbie Jeep to my moms as a birthday gift! It was THE best!!! In my 16th birthday card he drew me in the Barbie Jeep and insisted that be the car I drive.
