I am sorry for your loss and the loss to all of us with Terry's passing. Terry was a wonderful person. He was full of humor and compassion. My wife Cheryle and I knew Terry at his best. He did a wonderful job as WITA's leader. When he went to the microphone to speak before a regulatory agency, it looked like he owned the microphone and podium. And, he did! Terry knew how to entertain. Whether it was a quiet dinner party (yes, there were some of those) or an industry extravaganza, it was always memorable. His theme parties for WITA were amazing! The MASH theme party, the Black and White clothes party (I wore a basketball ref's uniform, I forget the name Terry gave the night), the Tacky Tourist theme party and many more were always tremendous fun. He once talked me and Bob Smith to appear with him at a retirement party as the Three Amigos. He had the whole thing choreographed and dressed us up in costumes like Steve Martin and Martin Short wore in the movie. Only a whole lot of alcohol got Bob and me through it. But Terry loved it! Cheryle and I and Bob and his wife Jackie were able to travel with Terry a couple of times. Once to Vancouver BC and once to Las Vegas. Those were great trips! While Terry lived in Olympia, we pretty much had an annual trip to the Tacoma Dome for the Holiday festival. Terry introduced Cheryle and me to decorating for Halloween. Those trips were great fun, but ended up costing me a lot of money. No regrets. Just great memories. No matter where we traveled, Terry always knew the best restaurants. One business trip to San Francisco, he asked Cheryle and me if we wanted to go to dinner. Of course, the answer was "Yes!" We climbed into a cab and ended up at this little whole in the wall called the Black Cat. One of he best meals I ever had. As I write this, more and more memories of Terry come to mind. Too may to share. Terry was certainly one of a kind. He was a tremendous asset to the telecom industry in the Northwest. For a long time he was a big part of our lives. He will always be remembered.
