Ronald N. Bebb, age 81, and long-time Kailua resident passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Vancouver, Washington on Monday, April 7, 2008.
Ron was a loving husband and father, and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends, including wife Jean Bebb of Vancouver, Washington, sister Barbara Bebb of Monterrey, California, children, Vicki Bebb of Hood River, Oregon, Keith Bebb of Sherwood, Oregon, Neil Bebb of Mililani, Hawaii and Meg Shick of Napa, California; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
Ron was born in Gilroy, California June 12, 1926 to Ruth and David Bebb. Ron attended elementary school through high school in Monterey, California. Following his graduation from high school, he served in the Navy during WWII, and received his bachelors from Stanfor University. Upon graduation, he was recalled for the Korean War before returning to the Stanford Graduate School of Business. After receiving his MBA, he moved to Hawaii to work for Castle & Cooke Ltd., and later Lewers & Cooke Ltd. and First Insurance Company of Hawaii.
Ron loved to travel, read, run on the beach, and was an avid tennis player and active member of the Kailua Racquet Club for many years. He moved to Vancouver, Washington after retirement where he trained for and ran in seven marathons, and took up the game of golf. Pampa... we miss and love you so much.
