Martena, Mary and family. We are so sorry to hear of your loss of Richard. I did not know him well, but just two weeks ago, he and I were at the Post Office together. He asked me about the school. There had been a meeting the night before that he was unable to attend. As we talked, I was impressed with how much he cared about the kids of Cascade Locks. He wanted to see the kids back at the school here in there home town. I was so touched by how sincere he was. I do know Richard was a kind and gentle man. He will be missed by his community, in which he gave of himself, but we will remember him, his kindness always. Our prayers are with you and all of your loved ones. May you feel Gods mercy, grace and love abundantly through this most difficult time.
