I found out about Randy's passing on Facebook this morning. I'm heartbroken. He was one of the nicest people I ever knew. His beautiful photos of his beloved Gorge will live on forever. It was a privilege to know him.

Randy and I were roommates and friends in Crested Butte. What a kind soul. He loved the land and wildlife and of course his dogs. He became such a great photographer and generously shared his photos with us all online. Randy and I lived together when the bank exploded in Crested Butte and going thru something like that together connects you in ways most friends don't experience. We had divergent views of life, and always shared them respectfully which I so appreciated and admired. May you rest in peace my old friend. Prayers to all your loved ones. May your memories comfort your hearts until you are reunited in the great beyond.
