Mary Josephine Prine, 79, passed away February 23, 2015 surrounded by family at her home in Hood River, Or. Mary was born February 13, 1936 in Palisade, Co., to William and Helen (Beal) Setchfield. Throughout her life Mary resided in Grandview, Wa., Bingen, Wa., and Hood River, Or.

Mary married Newt Prine. Mary’s profession was caring for children. She was a nursery supervisor at Asbury Child Care Center. Mary loved her family and spent many years traveling and camping. She also enjoyed knitting, cooking, fishing, and reading. Mary belonged to Hood River Elks and Royal Neighbors of America.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Newt Prine; son Jerry Eugene Prine; son Johnny Glen Prine; and parents William and Helen Setchfield.

Mary is survived by her daughter Helen Marie Davis and her husband Terry Lee Davis; Jerry’s wife Kathy; grandchildren Steven Prine and his wife Emily; Michael and his wife Amanda Prine; Devin Lee Davis; and Zachary Alan Davis; great-grandchildren Sophia Prine; Ava Prine; Wyatt Prine; and Gunnar Prine.

A memorial service will be held for Mary at 3:00p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Anderson’s Tribute Center.
