Dear Mathews Family, I remember Pastor Lester and his family from my early days with my dad, Doyle Clark, playing with Ray Dehart at the Hood River Junior High auditorium. I also remember he and Theressa coming into Rosauer's where I worked and visiting with them. My dad mentioned to me that one of his first memories of them was when they pulled up in their bus to Grave's Chevron. I also went to school with several of their children and enjoyed many memories of this family. I was even pleasantly shocked when his son James recognized me after not seeing anyone in this family for almost 20 years in one of my recent trips to Hood River. I am so happy that he got to live a long, fruitful life and he will be missed even though I didn't know him too well personally. He was definitely a positive addition to the Hood River Valley and definitely has a legacy. My thoughts are with the family and all those I knew: Ondra, Spencer and Randy.
