Larry David Huskey, Sr. a lifelong Mosier, Oregon resident, passed away June 23, 2008 at his Mosier home. Larry was 51 years of age.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor Larry will be Saturday June 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Anderson’s Tribute Center. A reception will follow.
Larry was born October 16, 1956 in The Dalles, Oregon, one of six children born to Delbert and Elaine (Herman) Huskey of Mosier.
Larry was raised and educated in Mosier, attending Chenowith Middle School and graduating from Wahtonka High School in 1974. After graduation, Larry went to work for Cascade Locks Sawmill. Later he worked for a short time logging and in the building industry before going to work for Hanel Lumber in 1982. Larry was employed by Hanel’s until 1998. Larry then worked a short time for Munsen Paving before going to work for Cardinal Glass where Larry was employed at the time of his death. Larry's love and passion was his work, listening to country and western music, four wheeling, hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all the passion he had for his family. Larry had a big heart and had an endless amount of patience when it came to little kids. Larry had a love for animals and he considered his dogs, his three little kids. Larry's life was built around his home as failing health from Diabetes for better then 30 years took its toll.
Larry is survived by his five children, Karrie and Wayland Helmer of Salem, Oregon; Krissy and Brandon of Hood River, Oregon; Larry Jr. and Britany of Mosier, Oregon; Addam and Starla of Odell, Oregon; Jeremy and Haley of Mosier, Oregon; Seven Grandchildren, Sativa, Iva, Kaylan, Mayson, MaKayla, Hunter and Addyson.

Brothers Delbert Huskey and his wife Brenda of Mosier, Oregon; Dwight Huskey and his wife Yvonne of Mosier, Oregon; twin brother Bob Huskey and is wife Heidi of Parkdale, Oregon; sisters Donita Wilson and her husband Grant of Mosier, Oregon and Terrie Methvin and her husband Gary of The Dalles, Oregon. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and many friends also survive.
Vault interment will be at Mosier Cemetery.
