Larry Lee Baker
Larry Lee Baker, 68, a resident of Hood River, passed away in his home Friday, September 14, 2012. Larry was born and raised in Bakersfield, California.

Eventually, Larry and Carol moved to Hood River where Larry served his community by pursuing his dream of being in law enforcement. Larry worked as a Corrections Officer and Deputy Sheriff at the Hood River Sheriff's Office. After retiring from the Sheriff's Office, Larry continued his dedication to others by being very active in his church and serving as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Hood River.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, in 2011 after losing her battle with cancer. Larry is survived by his son Stan Baker, daughter in-law Dana Baker, grandsons Scott, Sean, and Spencer, and two great- grandchildren.

Larry was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched along the way.

A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday September, 22nd at the First Baptist Church of Hood River (1889 Belmont Drive). Following the memorial service, there will be a procession to Idlewilde Cemetery where Larry will be escorted by an honor guard and then he and Carol will be reunited and laid to rest together.
