Life Story for Karen Anneliese Renate El - Bardisy
Karen El-Bardisy, age 81, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018, at her home in Hood River, Oregon, surrounded by family. Born in Leipzig, Germany to the late Gerd & Anneliese Riedemann, she had resided in Elizabeth, NJ Rahway, NJ and Flemington, NJ before moving to Oregon 1 year ago. Before her retirement Karen and her husband were the co-owners of Winfield Deli in Elizabeth, NJ for 10 years.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Nabil El-Bardisy. Surviving are her children and their spouses: Abbas & Coleen El-Bardisy, Nadia & Edwin Laubach and Camilia & Thomas Richardson; her grandchildren Abbas Jr., Joseph, Edwin, Layla, Amira, Anneliese and Reid; her stepmother Helga Riedemann; her brother Bernd Reidemann; and her sisters Ellen Pfeffer and Kirsten Petereit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 31, 2018 at 10:30am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ, with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Kenilworth, N.J. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9am to 10:30am at the Spezzi Funeral Home.
