Life Story for John Paul Lozowski
John Paul Lozowski of Hood River and La Ventana passed away with family by his side July 30, 2018, at Providence Hood River Hospital in Hood River, Oregon.
John was born March 27, 1948 and was 70 years of age at the time of his passing. His parents moved the family from Pennsylvania to southern California, where John learned to love surfing, volleyball, and had a successful career in the garment industry. He met Patricia Barnhart on the slopes of June Mountain, California. The two were married in 1978 and had a son, Alex, in 1987. Around the same time, the two of them were also getting into windsurfing. When John retired from the garment industry, they set their eyes on The Gorge, and moved to Hood River in June 1991. Windsurfing and kite boarding also brought him to his winter home in La Ventana, Baja, where he made many new friends. Just a few years ago he discovered his next favorite sport, pickle ball and enjoyed being a part of that community very much.
John is survived by his son, Alex Lozowski of Hood River, OR, and extended family in Las Vegas and throughout California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Lozowski and Matilda Barczak, and his brother, Stanley E Lozowski.
There will be a celebration of life service for John on the weekend of September 15th, details will be forthcoming.
