Junior Dale (JD) McMorran of Parkdale, Oregon, was born in Adams County, Iowa on May 10, 1922. He passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2012 at the age of 90, surrounded by his family.

He served in the US Marine Corps at the end of World War II. JD retired from the Corbett School District in 1984, as the Maintenance and Buildings Director.

JD is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise Bixler McMorran, also of Parkdale; daughters Linda Louise Hoke of Madras, Oregon and Joan Dale Engebretson of Hood River; sons Jeffrey David McMorran of Fossil, Oregon and Scott McMorran of Parkdale; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

JD was a dedicated husband, father and grandpa. If you had the privilege of knowing this man, count yourself blessed; a kinder, gentler soul, you will not meet.

A celebration of life with military honors was held at Anderson's Tribute Center, followed by a private burial on Monday, September 24th, 2012. Please visit www.AndersonsTributeCenter.com to leave a note of condolence for family.
