We were Helen's neighbor when she lived on 9th St. In Lewiston. We spent those 10 years getting to know her and she loved watching our kids grow. She was always so happy to visit with us. Helen loved everything we shared with her out of our garden, and all the fresh things from Costco we shared with her. She was certainly one of the most independent and smart women we have ever met. When we decided to move outside the city and build, nether one of us wanted to be the one to tell her. We knew she would miss us as much as we knew we would miss her! She was first class all the way. You could tell that by the house she kept, down to her hair and nails always perfect. She loved children and showed ours often her affection. I am so happy she had a good, long life because she was so giving and appreciative, she deserved it. I thank her family for allowing her to stay in her home, being independent as long as she could, because that gave us 10 years of know her. Rest in peace Helen, and we certainly will be at your Lewiston service. ....Doug, please let us know. Sam Gill......dspickles@lewiston.com
