Condolences

Condolence From: Bill Ryan
Condolence: Elaine, you won't know me from Adam, but I was in the same UVM 1962 graduating class as you and Scott.
I didn't know either of you but was aware of each of you. Your pictures are in several places in the "62" "Ariel. Plus I remember you as Miss Vermont. I lived in Milton during school and didn't do much socializing on campus.
I'm just sad to learn we lost another Catamount not to mention our class president. From the obituary write-up Scott seemed to be a wonderful man, and active in a lot of areas. My sympathy for your loss.

Condolence: To Elaine and family...
A loss much too early. As a younger brother (V'62) in Sigma Phi (UVM) I always wondered why certain of the older brothers had it all together. The answer was epitomized in Scott (V'60). A prior Service member (USN), Scott could do it all. Study, party and leave the rest of us in the dust. A great older brother and friend, he left a life long impression on me. We re-established contact when I discovered that Scott and Elaine had moved to Hood River, where my daughter lives. He and I had many great times in Hood River reminiscing over old Sigma Phi adventures.

Condolence: It is a sad moment to hear of Scott's passing. He was a man who embodied so many good qualities as a family man, a world traveler, and a servant in the community. He will indeed be missed by many whose lives he has touched over the years. But it is through those lives that his memory will also continue to live on. I has been an honor to know Scott, as well as to have been friends with and worked with his son Kent for 20+ years. Scott will truly be missed, but his influence will continue on for those of us who have had the chance to know him.

Condolence: We just returned from our three week trip to Sweden and were shocked and very saddened to read of Scott's passing away. He truly was a most giving and positive person to all. We will miss our fun times together, especially our ski days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Elaine, and the rest of your family.
We are here to help in any way we can. Love to you all.

Condolence: We just got home from Portland and just now found out about this terrible news of a man I have gotten to know over the past several years. Scott and Eileen made a perfect pair and I could count on seeing them at every Lions event we went too. Scott was also in charge of the Paper Drive trailers and kept me on track moving them around. We will certainly miss Scott's cheerful outlook on life and his smile regardless of the day.

Condolence: What a wonderful person Scott was. Always willing to help with anything. Scott, Elaine and myself went to the Lions International Convention in Boston together with other Lions. Always a ready smile and pleasant. His loss will be felt by our community. My sympathy goes out to the Johnson family.
