Life Story for Gloria Graves
Gloria Joan Graves went to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born in Glendale, Calif., on April 29, 1926, to Henry and Mildred Bolinger.
In 1941, she moved to Prineville, Ore., where she met the love of her life, Jimmy Graves.
In 1952, Gloria and Jim, along with her father, Henry Bolinger, moved to Hood River and started Bolinger’s Building Supply in Hood River. After 28 years, they sold the business and traveled the world.
Gloria and Jim were married for 59 years before he passed away on April 23, 2001.
Gloria was a member of the Hood River Christian Church and worked as a volunteer there and other places in Hood River.
A memorial will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Hood River Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the History Museum of Hood River County would be appreciated.
