Galen Lee  Harvey
Galen Lee Harvey passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital.

Galen was born June 4, 1964 in Aberdeen, Washington to Jerry and Annie (Farmer) Harvey and was 49 years of age at the time of his passing.

Services are planned for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Truth Tabernacle (1330 Tucker Road Hood River, Oregon 97031).

He grew up in Hood River and graduated from the local high school. He moved to Las Vegas where he and his father owned and operated a tire and mechanic shop for several years, Galen then moved back to Hood River where he owned and operated a local gas station. He eventually went to work at Hoggs and Davis in Odell, Oregon. Galen has been self-employed for the last several years.

Galen was happily married to his partner of eight years, Tara. Together they had Jerry Lee who became the light of his life. He frequently stated that God’s blessings had fulfilled his life.

Galen enjoyed berry picking, rock hunting, mushroom hunting, loved to work on hot rods, fishing, hiking in the woods and getting fire wood for his dad. He had a generous heart and loved to please everyone. He believed in God and spread the word to others.

Galen is survived and will be dearly missed by his spouse, Tara Jean Harvey; son, Jerry Lee Harvey; parents, Jerry Lee & Ann Beth (Farmer) Harvey of Hood River; brothers, John Arthur Harvey of Mt. Hood, OR and Donald Ted Harvey of White Salmon, WA; sister, Gwen Jean Zwanzigger of Minnesota and their families. He will always be remembered by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family & friends, including his best friend, James Noyes.
