Frankie Summage Zeller

Frankie Summage Zeller was born in Clarkston, Washington on January 30, 1971. He passed away on April 3rd, 2008 with his loving family at his side.

Frankie’s family is planning a time to celebrate his life and mourn his passing 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12th, 2008 at the Hood River High School in the Bowe Auditorium, 1220 Indian Creek Road.

Frankie and his sister, Nadine Summage Stathas lived in Redding, California with various relatives through his first twelve years. He had many fond memories of time spent with Uncle Jeff and Aunt Audrey Carson, his Uncle Calley Jones and his grandfather, Ted and grandmother Billie Carson.

Frankie and his sister then moved to The Dalles, Oregon where they lived with their Uncle Will and Aunt Debbie Wingfield and their son, Jared. In 1987 Frankie he moved to Hood River and became part of the Zeller family.

Frankie attended Hood River High School and graduated in 1989. He was a record breaking weight lifter, active in track, baseball and football; but his favorite sport was football.

After high school be went to Alaska and worked on a commercial fishing boat for four years. He then started a power washing business in the Portland area and eventually became a successful general contractor.

While in Portland he met Hedley Sandness, they married on September 16, 2000 and were blessed with three children (two by blood and another by love); Jordyn, Jacob and Lindsey.

Frankie enjoyed jet skiing, fishing, hunting, boating, golfing and especially spending time with his family and friends. He genuinely loved life and made the most of it.

Frankie is survived by his mother, Dianna of Hood River, OR; sisters, Marchi Colwell of Hood River, OR, Nadine Stathas of West Linn, OR, Gladys Edwards of Redding, CA, Tammy summage of Los Angeles, CA, Tiffany Booker of Seattle, WA; brothers, Jeff Zeller of Hood River, OR, Rocky Summage, Kelly Summage, Michael Summage and Oscar Summage all of Redding, CA. He is preceded in death by Frank Summage, Sr. and sister, Janice Summage.

Frankie will be deeply missed by all who had made contact with him throughout his life. The family suggests that memorials contributions be made in his name for a fund that will be established for his children’s college fund. Please send gift care of Anderson’s.
