Eric Edward Annala passed away May 14, 2012 in Hood River, Oregon at the age of 53. He was born to Wayne C. and Loretta J. (Daugherty) Annala in Portland, Oregon on August 19, 1958.

He is survived by his son, Ryan W. Annala of Grants Pass, Oregon; his son, Shawn Annala of Bend, Oregon; and his daughter, Erica Nichols of Bend, Oregon. He is also survived by his father, Wayne C. Annala of Hood River, Oregon; sister, Susan Annala-Mullenax of Tyler, Texas; and sister, Robyn Sleeper of Waldport, Oregon. His mother, Loretta and brother Davin preceded him in death in 2011.

Shortly after his graduation from Hood River Valley High School, he lived in Tokyo for three years, during which time he instructed Sony employees in conversational English. After returning from Tokyo, he engaged in commercial diving and aquarium diving display in Newport, Oregon. Later he was engaged in further employment in retail sales of furniture and also truck canopies and accessories in the Medford and Portland areas. More recently, for a substantial period of time, he was employed in concrete construction in Bend, Oregon. Prior to his death, he returned to Hood River.

Private family services are planned and will be held at a later date.
