Obituary for Donald Lee "Don" Dunn

Donald Lee "Don"  Dunn
Our beloved Donald L. Dunn passed away peacefully at home, Saturday evening April 26th 2008, he was 66 years old.
Don was born in Kissee Mills, Missouri on February 18th 1942 to Robert Alvin Dunn and Lois Hunsucker Dunn. He spent the majority of his life working as a saw filer and millwright in various saw mills around Hood River. On January 22nd 1994 he married his soul mate and best friend Glenna in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He is survived by his children, Donald Dunn Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; Jerry Dunn of Pendleton, Oregon; Kathy Miller of White Salmon, Washington; Chris Hunsaker of Renton, Washington; Kelly Montgomery of Hood River, Oregon; and Jamie Swyers of Long Beach, California; Also 7 grandchildren, Matt, Cody, Kady, Riley, Ashley, Emily and the newest addition, Alexander “Bruiser” Dunn. He is also survived by 5 brothers, 3 sisters and their spouses, Richard and Vi Dunn of The Dalles, Oregon; Dean and Linda Dunn of Hood River, Oregon; Kenneth Dunn of Reedsport, Oregon; Randy and Joann Dunn of the Tri-Cities, Washington; Keith Dunn of Hood River, Oregon; Sue Parsons of Hood River, Oregon; Kay Ontiveros of White Salmon, Washington and Vern and Teresa Seal of Hood River, Oregon; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was a member of American Legion and of the Eagles for 41 years and will be truly missed by many dear friends. Don’s greatest joys in life were spent hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family and especially with his brother and best friend Dean. Don was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Services will be held at 11 am on May 1st and Andersons Tribute Center in Hood River followed by a reception at The Hood River County Fairgrounds.
