I recognized the photo in the Oregonian newspaper because it is the same photo I have in my 1961 Benson Tech yearbook. I remember Dan, he was “Mr. Cole” back then. He was a nice guy and a very good teacher. I still have, and use, a couple of the projects from sheet metal shop that he showed me how to make. It’s been fifty six years since he signed his photo for me in that yearbook, but I still remember him as a very friendly person and a dedicated teacher.
