Charles "Skip" Trout
Charles “Skip” Trout passed away on February 21, 2018 at his home in The Dalles, Oregon. Skip was born on December 14, 1952 and was 65 years of age at the time of his passing. A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm Saturday March 3, 2018 at Rowena Baptist Church (5964 Rowena-The Dalles Hwy The Dalles, OR 97058).

Life Story for Charles "Skip" Trout

Charles Alan “Skip” Trout was born December 14, 1952 in Aberdeen, Washington. At two weeks old, Elfred and Arlene Trout adopted him. Skip was raised in Hood River, OR and graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 1971. He worked at Jack’s Body Shop repairing cars in Hood River and The Dalles, OR.

Skip met Judy Oberg on Easter weekend in 1981. She thought he was kind, had a big heart and an amazing sense of humor. These were all traits he was really going to need to raise Stephanie and Jake, Judy’s children!

He had been ill for several years and found peace in going to the Baptist Church in Rowena, Oregon. He was baptized in November 2017 by George Clark. Skip continued to attend church until his death on February 21st, 2018. His death was peaceful and he was surrounded by his family.

Skip is survived by Judy Olberg, Stephanie, Jacob, his grandchildren; Kaysha, Dakota, Emma, Jackie, Maddie, Jacob Jr. and Mathew; great grandchildren Kaydence and Skylar; cousins Stan, Steve and Mike Trout; nephew Cliff Honn and William and Janet Ward.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday March 3, 2018 at the Rowena Baptist Church (5964 Mosier – The Dalles Hwy The Dalles, OR 97058). Parking is limited, so family and friends are encouraged to carpool. Lite refreshments will be served following the service.
