Uncle Chuck was a “man’s man” with a caring heart, a sense of humor and down to earth wisdom. Years ago, he would show up at my home in Yucca Valley in his semi-truck with a case of beer and a box of steaks – just what was needed for Marines in that dry high desert. He taught me how to fix my old Ford tractor and a lot about life which he so much relished. I know my dad and his brothers loved to be around him; everyone did. Chuck and Aunt Fran always had an open door for the Meyer clan and everyone enjoyed visiting them. We will miss him greatly here and I am sure many have greeted him with joy in the heavenly realms.
