BetteLee Freedman was born April 2,1929 in Garden City, Kansas. She lived in Hood River since 1972 and worked at Lure Jensen for many years until she retired. She was skilled in showing her beloved Tennessee Walkers and won many awards in her career beginning in her teens as a jockey. She rode motorcycles into her 60's until her health began to fail. We will all treasure and remember the many hand crafted, blankets and sweaters we received at Christmas time. She is survived by three great grandchildren: Derek, Marlon and Ella; one grandchild, Sara and daughter, Monzell. She lived an adventurous life until she was taken to be with her Lord on September 8, 2012. Her sense of humor and spunk will be remembered by those in her life.
