Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Norton passed away September 2, 2016 in Hood River, Oregon. Bobbie was born June 27, 1933 and was 83 at the time of her passing.

Bobbie was born in Hood River, Oregon to Joe and Neta (Camp) Moore. She was the first of four children; Joanne, Janet and Jim. She grew up in the Hood River Valley, graduated from Hood River High School, in 1953 she married Gerald Chevron who passed away. In 1980 she married Robert Norton. She was an active mother and homemaker but also worked in the local packing houses. She was a gifted quilter who has made many quilts that will be cherished by her family and also enjoyed camping and fishing. Bobbie was an active member of Hood River Valley Christian Church. She also helped at the Hood River County Fair making sure all the entries were setup and displayed in the proper place.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Norton; children, Sherrie, Susan (& Larry) and Sally (& Mike); grandchildren, Joyce, Tina, Shana, Cole, Sara, Taylor, Derek, Reed, Austin; great grandchildren, Blake, Grace & Tatum; siblings, Joanne Smith, Janet Willey & Jim Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.

A private family graveside service was held at Idlewilde Cemetery on Monday, September 5th, 2016.

Memorials are encouraged to be made in Bobbie’s name to the Hood River Valley Christian Church.
