Barbara Louise Graham passed away on September 20, 2017 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles, Oregon. Barbara was born on June 5, 1928 and was 89 years of age at the time of her passing. A time of visitation where friends can greet with family and view will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Anderson's Tribute Center Celilo Chapel, 204 E. 4th St. The Dalles, Oregon 97058 - (541) 296-2600. Life Story for Barbara Louise Graham

Barbara Louise Graham, The Dalles, OR, peacefully passed away to Jesus’ arms on September 20, 2017.

Barbara was born June 5, 1928 in Mesa, Arizona to Karl King Kenner and Victoria Lucile Kenner. Barbara’s childhood took her to live in several places in the West from the Canadian border to the Mexico border as her father was a sheep shearer so they traveled to where the work was. Her family settled in Fossil, OR in the early forties and then in 1945 they moved to The Dalles, OR where Barbara graduated from The Dalles High School in 1947. Barbara married Bobby Loyd Graham in 1952 and they had four children: Mitchell Graham (Kathy), Joy Peterson (Mike), Cynthia Graham, and Julie Proffitt (Eric). Barbara was a home maker and loving mother to her four children. She has four grandchildren: Jenni, David, & Jon Peterson; and Megan Graham.
Barbara’s daughter, Cynthia Graham, was Barbara’s caregiver, companion, and friend in her later years. They had many years sharing life together and a bond of love for one another that will pass to eternity.

Over the course of her life Barbara was active in church; she loved to garden, knit & sew; she was very artistic with painting and drawing; and in her later years she volunteered at Child Evangelism Fellowship and Chenowith Elementary School. Barbara was a wonderful friend to many and never knew a stranger.

Barbara was predeceased by: Bobby Loyd Graham, husband; Karl King Kenner, father; Victoria Lucile Kenner, mother; Douglas Kenner, brother; Anber Larimore, sister; Lloyd Levi Graham, father-in-law; and Mabel Knight Graham, mother-in-law.

Barbara was laid to rest on September 23, 2017 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cherry Heights Rd., The Dalles, OR.
Barbara loved Jesus and one of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
