Condolences

Condolence From: Jim and Linda Feurer
Condolence: Never knew Melvin. We now live in Elmer's house on the ridge outside Lacon.

Condolences from Jim and Linda Feurer. Owners of Animal Jim Racing in Lacon, IL. I knew Don Melvin's brother when I was young and lived in LaSalle Peru, IL. Don then worked for Jimmies Motors.

We moved from LP to Lacon in 67. And soon got to know another brother Elmer Klein.

We are also friends with the Budds and know Melvin's beautiful sister , Melvin Budd's wife Justine. RIP Melvin---Jim and Linda

Condolence: Mel was my neighbor for many years with his wife & Schnauzer dog. Anyhow, what a neat guy. He was along, with several other people, for a trip to Ireland. Always a friendly greeting at Down Manor or where ever.
He will be missed.
Sorry, the weather did not permit me to attend the funeral.

Condolence From: Pete and Connie Buttaccio
Condolence: To Mel Kliens Family,
Pete and I sat next to Mel at St. Mary's Catholic Church every Unday, for several years. I looked forward to greeting him each Sunday morning and often prayed for him during the week. He always had a smile and was appreciative of our greetings. I missed him when he was no longer able to attend Mass. However, his son Mark, who had often attended with his dad, became a regular sitting in the same spot. I imagined a much younger Mel sitting there.

I did not know of Mel's passing until I attended Mass on Sunday. I am so sorry that I didn't attend the service. I can picture Mel as a smiling 20- something with his dear wife, of 48 years, Irene. What a reunion they must have had! I can see him greeting the sweet Esther, his later companion and wife.
Blessings to all the remaining family. I hope you will all be united with the smiling Mel, someday.
