There has never been a teacher like Christy. Early in her Wy'east career, I had the opportunity to be in her class. She was the most imaginative and interesting teacher. Kids learned by every way possible. With computers; she taught them how to code spreadsheets, they learned how to determine temperature by the chirps of a cricket, they learned how to fall in love with learning. Christie was a compassionate lady who would be the first to offer whatever help was needed. She was a dear friend who I will genuinely miss.
