Condolence: My heart goes out to the family and friends of Daniel Guzman. I'm so sad to hear of the tragic news of his passing. I knew Daniel all the way back in First Grade, when Mrs. Schmidt used to regularly get him in trouble and put his name on the board with lots of check marks! It wasn't that he was a bad person, he only got in trouble because he really, really loved to talk to people!!! I remember sitting by Daniel one day in class, and he started talking to me. I was so fascinated by his story telling that I wasn't paying any attention to the teacher, and the next thing I knew, I had my name on the board next to Daniel's with like 5 check marks LOL!!! He also had a ton of energy and seemed to never get tired on the playground, and he would sometimes run all over the place!!! Same with P.E. classes! I also want to point out that Daniel's ability to keep his goofy, happy go lucky attitude in the face of the adversity he faced was incredible, and something that I honestly will never forget. I got so many stories to back that up as I knew him grades 1 to 12. I'm really going to miss Daniel, and miss being his Facebook friend of a lot of years, his liking nearly every post I ever posted on Facebook, his birthday wishes to me, his responses to some of my Facebook posts, and reading all his Facebook posts. I'm never going to forget Daniel, or the last time I saw him in person years after we graduated. I wasn't sure if he would even remember me. Not only did he remember me, he was so excited to see me again! He got to talking and telling stories about what he was up to, that the next thing I know, I'm thinking that I think I'm more excited to see him again than he is to see me, if that was even possible LOL!!! He just had that way of talking to you. I'm also never going to forget Daniel telling my mom, the last time she saw him, about how much respect he has for my brother and I because of the respect we showed him all those years growing up. I feel the exact same way about Daniel because he never once said anything negative about me. I got so much respect for Daniel for that and for keeping his positive attitude. RIP Daniel Guzman, you will be missed, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Heaven just got one entertaining story teller, where people there will quickly learn, that once Daniel starts talking to you, he can talk your ear off with entertaining stories!

Condolence: Dan was amazing. He helped me move when I had no one and was always so encouraging. Always checking in on me though texts and when I was sad and lonely he would always offer to hang out. He was always talking about how he loved his son. I will never forget how he touched my life. Heaven got an amazing man.

Condolence: Many thoughts of Daniel these past couple days. I never called him a firend, though I should or could have. We didn't know each other very well or very long really. Yet, when I needed help tinkering with a car, he was literally just a phone call away. Now reflecting back on conversations we've shared, Daniel did have a big personality and was a very kind and helpful person. He was very fond of being a dad too. Condolences to the family and friends of Daniel.

Condolence: My deepest condolences go out to Daniel's family, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I met Daniel when he moved into the apartment above me last year. I didn't know him well or for very long but what I saw was his kindness and his compassion for others. He helped me move when I was going through a very difficult time and we had a chance to get to know each other a little bit and hearing about his passing breaks my heart.
He will be missed so much. I'm so sorry he's gone.

Condolence: To the Guzman family,
I greet you in love and condolences for your great loss.
Our story began 36 years ago at my father’s house, when I met Apolonio and Serafin. (Polo and Serf)
They were best of friends in those days with my dad and shared stories of their trips down to Ensenada, Mexico. My dad loved those trips, and still talks about them.
I met Daniel, with his brother’s, Martin, Jose, and Ernesto down in Maryhill. Then again later in Hood River on Serpentine road. His mom was the BEST cook ever! They taught me to eat frijole’s Mexican style and treated me as an honored guest. I will forever love them for that!
Throughout the years later when the uncle’s visited me or my dad, Daniel liked to come along with them. He and my son Jason became fast friends.
He continued to check in with my dad as an adult. What a sweetheart he was! When we ran into each other over the years, it was always BIG HUGS and lot’s of love.
Then this year we got real close again. Regular phone calls and messenger notes.
He told me all about his siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins, and of course the uncles. He loved you all with his whole heart!
We were planning a trip to Ensenada in August, and when I had a health issue on June 6th he called and told me even if he had to rent a van with a hospital bed in it, he would, and take me down to Mexico!
He was the sweetest kid! My heart is broken with the loss of my dear sweet friend.
God Bless you all, and may you find comfort in each other’s love. Thank you for sharing your gift with me, as I know you will agree, he was a treasured gift, pure and simple.
