Life Story for James Richard "Jim" Perry

James  Richard "Jim"  Perry
James “Jim” Perry passed away July 26, 2016 surrounded by family at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, Washington. He was born March 25, 1930 and was 86 at the time of his passing.

Jim was born in San Francisco, California to Michael and Helena H. (Callaghan) Perry. He grew up in San Francisco attending schools in the Bay area graduating from Mission High School. On April 15, 1949 in San Francisco he married the love of his life Ann Christine Curran and to this union they were blessed with three children, Christine, James & Brian.

Jim and family moved to Stockton, California and then back to San Francisco, California where he worked as a Senior Executive for Macy’s until retiring in 1994. In 2001 Jim and Ann moved to Hood River to be near family.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles in pen, and was very good at jack’s and yo-yo and a huge 49er’s fan.

Jim is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 66 years, Ann Perry of Hood River, Oregon; three children and their spouses, Christine Ann Bluhm (and Rick) of Lincoln, California, James Patrick Perry (and Claudia Camus) of Mount Hood, Oregon and Brian Joseph Perry (and Karen) of Half Moon Bay, California; seven grandchildren; six and ½ great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pete.

Services are planned for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations) 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031.

Father Salomon Covarrubias of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, White Salmon, WA will officiate. A reception will follow his service and then Jim will be laid to rest at Idlewilde Mausoleum.

Memorials are encouraged to be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in memory of Jim.
