My "Best Man".

Jim will always have a unique part in my life, partly because our lives toched at so many points.

We were both born in February, I in North Dakota and he in South Dekota in the late 1930s. Our families both moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1941.  We first met in in 1953  In Hood River where we became close school buddies..

I remember Jim as a young man with wit and charm. He had a quick smile and a strong sense of comrodery. We shared in football, basketball, and, some poorly played tennis and track.  Jim and I were seldom apart in high school .

We worked and had many adventures after school and  together working thinning, propping fruit trees, and sometimes raising h... . and harvesting fruit in the valley.

Jim served as my "best man" at Kay's and my wedding in 1956.

Jim chose a stint in the service and I went directly into college. Physically we never did get together for any extended time except for passive communications, but Jim has always been part of my fixed, precious memories.  Jm Davis and his family hold very, very indelible memories to both of us. You will be missed.
