Josie was my funny aunt.  When I was in grade school she lived about a block away and sometimes I would drop in unexpectently and usually offered candy, cookies, and laughter.

Fast forward about 55 years and I'm on a motorcycle trip out west  and as the Washington border is getting closer I gave Josie a call.   Although I only talked to her about once a year, she would always recognize my voice.  Since that day I will evermore remember her reply when asked if I could stop by later that afternoon, " Of course Billy, I'll just add a couple more cups of water to the soup!"  Evermore.
