Dorothy Louise Harms of Hood River, Oregon passed away Tuesday August 26, 2014 at the Hood River Care Center in Hood River, Oregon. She was 96 years of age.

Dorothy was born on May 24, 1918 in Hood River, Oregon to Alphonse and Ruth (Chase) Kollas.

Dorothy resided in Odell and Hood River all her life and attended Odell High School. Dorothy married Raymond Harms of Hood River, Oregon on December 31, 1945.

Dorothy was employed by Stadelman’s Fruit LLC. In her free time Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, and doll making. Dorothy also enjoyed volunteering for meals on wheels.

Dorothy is survived by daughters Gayle Opolka of Renton, Washington and Shirley Harms of Portland , Oregon; three grandchildren, Christine Lufkin, Stephanie Enghause, Teresa Opolka, and five great grandchildren; Alyssa, Brandon, Justin, Cora, and James.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond.
