Life Story for Norma Jones
Norma Jean Jones passed away Sunday June 22, 2014 at Hood River Memorial Hospital. Norma was born March 23, 1935 and was 79 years of age at the time of her passing.
A memorial service is planned for 3:00pm, Saturday, June 28th at the Truth Tabernacle Church (1331 Tucker Road Hood River, Oregon 97031).
Norma was born in Hochatown, Oklahoma to Joe and Lou (Baker) Jewell. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated High School from Wright City, Oklahoma. She married Floyed Jones in Sweethome, Oregon on August 29, 1953. Norma lived in Lakeview, Oregon, Milwuakie, Oregon and Mosier, Oregon.
Norma was a loving housewife and active mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, arts, crafts, canning and most importantly spoiling her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She was a member of the Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church of Hood River.
Norma is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Floyd Jones of Mosier, Oregon; two daughters, Sharon (and husband, Al) Albrich of Milwaukie, Oregon and Susan Jones of Milwaukie, Oregon; two sons, Rick Jones of Mosier, Oregon and Steve (and wife, Danette) Jewell of Gresham, Oregon; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of friends that she has collected over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Pete and granddaughter, Jennifer Albrich.
Memorials are encouraged to be made in memory of Norma to the Alzheimer’s Society of Portland, Oregon.
