Obituary for Robert "Bobby" Kahler

Robert “Bobby” Kahler passed away unexpectedly in Skamania County, Washington. Bobby was born August 30, 1958 to Margaret and Richard Kahler SR in Hood River, Oregon and was 55 years of age at the time of his passing

Services are planned for 1:00 p.m., Thursday May 29, 2014 at the Hood River County Cemetery (off Tucker Road near the fire station and St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery).

He grew up in Hood River, participating in FFA, enjoying farming and camping with his family.

Bobby graduated from Hood River High School in 1978. His life long career was farming in the local family orchard.

Bobby enjoyed the outdoors, where he enjoyed farming and raising his son, Marcus. He was often seen driving his tractor in the sun, farming with excellence.

Bobby is survived and will be dearly missed by his parents Richard and Margaret Kahler, sister, Deborah Aylett and Earl of Hermiston Ore, Richard Kahler JR and Katherine of Hood River, Ore., his son Marcus Kahler of Hood River, Ore, his two grandchildren, Brent and Paige Kahler of White Salmon, Wa, many nieces and nephews and his dog , Rocky.

He was preceded in death by his son Brent Kahler in 1987.

Memorials are encouraged to be made in Bobby’s name to Wind River Search and Rescue aka. Wind River SAR. , c/o Spencer Dunn, PO Box 1135, Carson WA 98610.
