Janet and I were friends and classmates. We had a lot of fun together but when we really began to know each other was after our 50th reunion. A group of us travel together every year and for many of those travels we were roommates and really got reacquainted with each other. We both agreed that our best trip was a houseboat on Lake Powell for a week. Janet's daughter and son were on that trip, along with several other classmates. We always travel together in September so we have celebrated her birthday many times in many places, but she always said that was the best one ever because her children were there with her. Janet could be quite shy at times but had an outrageous sense of humor when we all got together. She was a great lady and handled her illness with a combination of humor and class, which was her style all the way! Shirley Rogers Frick I am an "adopted" Blue Dragon because of Shirley. It has been and is a wonderful experience. Janet was always one that I would kid and she always kidded me back and loved it. After the above mentioned Lake Powell trip, I always greeted her as my "old shipmate" and she truly was. She always was in the center of the fun on our many trips with the group.
