Russ and Ruth were a sweet part of my extended family ever since I met and became close friends with Macy in the 1980s. This was especially important for me as my own family was on the other side of the continent. I have so many fond memories of spending time with all the Guppys on holidays and assorted weekends in Hood River. I loved their house on the hill with the white picket fence. Russ was always so kind to me. I will never forget his warmth and his playful sense of humor. It was a privilege to know him, and I will remember him with great fondness.
