Obituary for Titus Gershom McNulty
Titus Gershom McNulty went home to His Savior July 8, 2019 with his parents holding his hands. His family, friends and acquaintances are deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden and tragic death.
While sitting with Titus in the hospital, his brother Micah said, “Titus was a gentle man.” He was also an artistic and creative man. Many of his friends, family have a piece of the artwork he created whether it was a piece of jewelry, one of his etched knives, or a piece of his copper or steel etchings. He even created a healing salve that has helped many.
From his childhood, Titus loved being outside exploring, fishing, swimming, and making snow forts. As an adult he began to love gardening. His flowers were another gift he loved to share, especially his dahlias. Titus spent much of his time and energy reclaiming a neglected creek next to his home in Hood River and developing its natural beauty.
Titus had to deal with turmoil most of his life--whether because of his lifelong health issues, especially Type 1 diabetes, or because of his own choices and addictions. If he was instrumental in leading any of you into addiction please know you are in our prayers and there is a source of healing. And while we recognize that Titus had his own choices to make-- to those who took advantage of his weaknesses and promoted his addictions, there is a God and He is watching and able to forgive. All you have to do is ask.
Titus is survived by his parents, Tim and Patsy McNulty of Hood River; his brother Micah and wife Kara and their daughter Avia of Parkdale, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Titus will be providing all the flowers for his graveside service so, in lieu of flowers remembrances can be made to the Providence Portland Medical Foundation Guest House C/O Anderson’s Tribute Center (1401 Belmont Ave Hood River OR 97031). We were very grateful for the support of this beautiful home away from home during this difficult time.
Titus’ family extends their grateful appreciation to all who have supported them through prayer, meals, and so much more. This support has done much to help us deal with the great sorrow and loss of our precious son.
A graveside service will be held at 6:00pm Saturday July 20, 2019 at Pine Grove Butte Cemetery (2687 Van Horn Drive Hood River, OR 97031).
