Sheila Kay Lape (Price) passed away in Hood River, Oregon on September 21, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sheila was born, alongside her twin sister, on April 30, 1965 in Vancouver, Washington. She was raised in the Pacific Northwest and spent most of her youth living in Vancouver, Washington. She graduated from Columbia River High School in 1983.

Sheila was a tom boy who loved to be outside camping, fishing, gardening, and swimming. In the Winter months she kept herself busy doing crafts, making jewelry, and reading. Sheila’s favorite get away was going to the Oregon Coast, especially Lincoln City. By far her favorite activity was snuggling and playing with her dog, Lucy.
Sheila is survived by her children, Jason Tucker (Stephanie), Jami Waters (Kevin), and her loyal dog, Lucy. Her grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Kaylynn, Lindsey, and Avery. Her siblings Stacy Jackson, Scott Price, Steve Price, Marvin Price, and Angie Price. She was preceded in death by her fiance, Ray Millard, and her parents, Walt and Emma Price.
Her family would like to thank Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital and Hospice of the Gorge for their dedicated care of Sheila at the end of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Hospice of the Gorge and Hood River Adopt A Dog.
The family will not be holding a formal celebration of life.
